The whole reason why so many people in the NBA cant really shoot is because their mechanics and form is wrong. That is the main reason why Dwight Howard cant shoot mid range shooting and free it's only a certain amount of big men in the league today and in the history of the league who could actually shoot free throws  and shoot period. its like big men like Rashed Wallace who played for the Detroit Pistons who could shoot from the three point line and could if he wanted he could shoot from the medium range of the court.
